Amy is a lifelong resident of eastern Baltimore County, having graduated from Perry Hall High School in 1981. She attended Washington College in Chestertown, Md., where she served as the editor-in-chief of the college’s student newspaper, The Elm, and graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in American Studies. While a student at the University of Maryland School of Law, Amy was a member of the editorial staff of the Maryland Law Review and received awards for outstanding work in Legal Method, Estates and Trusts, Future Interests, Estate and Gift Taxation, and several others. Amy graduated with honors from Maryland in 1988 and was named to the Order of the Coif, a prestigious society reserved for those graduating in the top 10% of the graduating class. Following law school, Amy served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert C. Murphy, Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals of Maryland.
After working as an associate with a midsize law firm and a principal in a smaller firm, Amy established her own law office in Essex, Md., in 2008. She is committed to providing friendly, personalized, and affordable services to individuals, families, and small businesses. Her practice focuses on the areas of estate and disability planning, estate and trust administration, elder law, guardianship, asset preservation, medical assistance eligibility, and family business and real estate transactions.
She enjoys volunteering with the Baltimore County Bar Association’s Lawyer Referral program, acting as a community liaison at the association’s booth at public events, and welcomes the opportunity to speak to civic organizations and other groups on topics related to the firm’s practice areas.
Originally from Baltimore County, Will moved to Wilmington, Del., during his childhood and attended high school at the Wilmington Friends School. He then attended the University of Delaware, where he graduated cum laude from the Honors Program with a double degree in Psychology and English-Professional Writing. After college, Will returned to Baltimore to begin studying at the University of Maryland School of Law, where he was an editor for the Journal of Health Care Law & Policy, a Peer Advisor to first year students, and received awards for his work in the Estate Planning Seminar and Marital Property and Divorce Litigation. During his second and third years at Maryland, Will worked as a law clerk for Amy J. Seifert, P.A. After graduating from Maryland Law and taking the Maryland Bar Exam in July 2016, Will completed a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Ruth A. Jakubowski in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County.
